The Zenith set a new world record of 195 watts (at 45 km/h) in the wind tunnel according to the Tour Test Standard. This makes it currently the fastest road bike in the world according to this measurement standard.
Weighing 860 g (size M), the frame is one of the lightest aero-optimized road bikes in its class. Aero frames currently weigh around 1000 grams . As a complete set (including the handlebar-stem unit), this represents a weight saving of 250–300 g compared to other aero bikes – and a further 100 g with the raw finish.
The bottom bracket stiffness of 73 N/mm is a best-in-class figure and ensures optimum power transfer. This value was measured by the Zedler Institute, an established and renowned testing institute in the cycling industry. The particular challenge lies in developing a full-size aero road bike that is as light as possible while remaining extremely stiff.
In addition, the Zedler Institute also measured an excellent comfort rating of 173 N/mm. The CarbonWorks specifically engineered seatpost solution precisely optimizes comfort, particularly in the saddle area. This is crucial for a comfortable ride over longer distances. Aero road bikes tend to be very stiff overall- however, the Zenith combines high bottom bracket stiffness with noticeable comfort in the saddle area.
