Sebastian Baldauf, founder of BALDISO and former professional cyclist

The BALDISO Story

Sebastian Baldauf, ex-professional cyclist and former German mountain champion,

founded the bicycle brand BALDISO in 2020.

The idea and mission

"After my career, I really wanted to change what I had already noticed as a professional cyclist and what many acquaintances and (cycling sport) friends had told me:
A racing bike whose configuration does not come from the bike brand, but is determined by each cyclist himself. Every passionate cyclist should be able to have their road bike customised exactly to their own wishes and ideas - without compromise! In addition, every cyclist has their own goals and needs - these should also be taken into account in the technical configuration."

Sebastian Baldauf, ex-professional cyclist and former German mountain champion, founded the bicycle brand BALDISO in 2020 with the mission of helping cyclists to customise their dream bike exactly to their wishes and providing customers with the support of his professional expertise.

But the aim behind this goes much deeper: The customised BALDISO bikes should generate so much joy and motivation just by looking at them, that you can get on your bike with a smile even after a stressful day at work.

"During the first few years of founding BALDISO, I experienced for myself how important this is for switching off, well-being and health. After long and stressful days, I needed two beers or an hour of (cycling) sport to be able to switch off and feel more balanced again. Of course, it helps enormously if you configure the bike in such a way that the mere sight of it evokes feelings of happiness, joy and, of course, motivation. Fortunately, I was able to decide in favour of (cycling) sport."

Thanks to perfect power transmission, aerodynamics and lightness, BALDISO bikes should also help cyclists to achieve their personal goals more easily.

In addition to their looks, BALDISO bikes are designed to help cyclists achieve their personal best times and goals more easily thanks to their excellent bottom bracket stiffness and the associated perfect power transmission.

Naturally, BALDISO bikes are also outstanding in terms of aerodynamics and lightness. "As a former top athlete, I can't help but attach importance to this".

The Confirmation - measured values in the Tour Magazine Test

This was impressively confirmed with facts and figures in the Tour test. Here, the BALDISO Road Bike was measured with a best value of 66 N/mm and consequently awarded a top score of 1.0. This has since been emphasised by other magazines. Taking into account all values such as stiffness, aerodynamics, weight and comfort, the BALDISO road bike also received an excellent score of 1.8.
